
Rage Announce Opening Day Roster

Broomfield, Colo. - Rocky Mountain Rage head coach Tracy Egeland made his final training camp cuts and will submit the following 19 players to the Central Hockey League as the team's official 2007-2008 Opening Day Roster:
Forwards (10) - Brent Cullaton* (RW), Chip Dunleavy (RW), Jeff Hansen (RW), Colt King* (LW), David Morelli (C), Nathan Rosychuk (RW), Daymen Rycroft* (C), Simon Watson* (C), Trevor Weisgerber (LW), and Scott Wray* (LW)
Defensemen (7) - Tyler Butler*, Rob Chappell, Nick Harloff, Clay Plume, Justin Schmit, Pat Sutton*, Jami Yoder
Goaltenders (2) - Terry Dunbar, Scott Reid*
*Denotes former All-Star
The Rage will open the CHL campaign on the road this Friday, Oct. 19, against the Odessa Jackalopes with eight former All-Stars from either the CHL or the United Hockey League in the line-up.
The roster features 16 Canadians, half of which hail from the province of Alberta, and three Americans: Dunbar (Duluth, Minn.), Dunleavy (Littleton, Colo.), and Jami Yoder (Harrisburg, Pa.).
Only four players return from last season's club that failed to reach the President's Cup playoffs: Dunleavy, Plume, Rosychuk, and Weisgerber.
And while some of the players may beg to differ, there is only one scratch golfer that made the final cut, player/assistant coach Cullaton, who owns his PGA Card.

Coach Egeland was forced to release four players as his final pre-season roster move in order to meet the league's maximum allotment of 19 players, which included Jozef Budaj (RW), Ben Manny (F), Jarred Mohr (D), and Chris Shaw (D).
Following Friday's game at Odessa and a clash on Saturday against the Amarillo Gorillas, the Rage then return home for their second season at Broomfield Event Center on Friday, Oct. 26, against the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 p.m.
