Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. - The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters will take on the Kalamazoo Growlers in their final matchup at Witter Field in 2018. After last nights 13-3 victory, the Rafters advance to 6-7 in the second half and 21-27 overall.

The Rafters' offense broke their cold streak last night with a dominant performance at the plate. The Rafters scored 13 runs on 14 hits. Five Rafters recorded multi-hit games. Brody Wofford (University of Central Florida) recorded four RBI and Ethan Stringer (Lousiville) hit a two-run triple.

Taking the bump for the Rafters is Trayson Kubo. Kubo will be one of five representatives for the Rafters heading to the Northwoods League All-Star Game in Kalamazoo, MI on Tuesday. He has made seven starts for the Rafters in 2018. Kubo sports a 4-1 record and a 1.45 ERA. In 37 innings pitched he has 35 strikeouts, walked 21 batters and allowed 23 hits.

Pitching for the Growlers is Sam Weatherly. The freshman from Clemson sports a 0-1 record with a 6.31 ERA. The lefty has pitched 15.2 innings and recorded 16 strikeouts with 15 walks and 16 hits allowed.

The first pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.
