Rafters and Border Cats Delayed
August 7, 2015 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters News Release
Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin - First pitch for the Rafters and Thunder Bay Border Cats will be delayed by an hour Friday night at Witter Field and is now scheduled for 8:05 p.m. Strong rain storms hit Wisconsin Rapids overnight on Thursday and throughout the day on Friday, causing poor field conditions.
The Rafters will still celebrate Circle of Life Night tonight, giving away $3200 worth of prizes in on-field promotions offered through tonight's sponsors, which include Alpine Home Medical, Mid-State Technical College, Sears Hometown Store and Riverview Hospital. All fans in attendance will have the chance to sign up to part of the promotions at each of the sponsor's tables located under the Witter Field grandstand.
Rafters fans who arrive on time for the originally scheduled first pitch will have a chance to enjoy 2-for-1 domestic taps from 6:05 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are still available for the game and can be purchased at the front gate at Witter Field.
