(Reading, PA) -- The Reading Phillies, the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies since 1967 -- the longest affiliation in all of baseball, are proud to announce the launch of a free iPhone and Android app, which will give fans unlimited access to R-Phils news, upcoming promotions, tickets, merchandise, and more in a fast and convenient manner.

"It's a great way to keep our fans in the loop, especially for someone who is always on-the-go," said R-Phils GM Scott Hunsicker. "When fans are not by a computer, they can now find all of the latest R-Phils news right on their phone. It's quick and easy, and it gives fans another exciting way to follow our team."

For fans interested in downloading the app, iPhone users can simply search the App Store for "Reading Phillies", and Android users can get the tool by searching "Reading Phillies" in the Marketplace.

The app features the latest R-Phils news and headlines - giving fans a chance to stay up-to-date with everything Reading Phillies. The app also allows fans to purchase tickets and merchandise from their phone. Plus, fans can see the entire 2011 schedule, as well as check stats, standings, box scores, and more.
