Pryor, Walker Transferred to AAA Tacoma to Continue Rehab

JACKSON, TENN. - The Seattle Mariners have announced that rehabbing pitchers Stephen Pryor and Taijuan Walker will continue their rehab assignment with AAA Tacoma. Both opened the 2014 season on the Seattle Mariners' 15-day disabled list.

Walker, 21, made one start for the Generals, this past Wednesday and struck out 10 over five innings and earned the win in the home opener against Mississippi. Walker, the 43rd overall pick in the 2010 draft allowed just three hits and only one walk in his second rehab start. Walker was placed on the disabled list with a right shoulder impingement. He is set to make his third rehab start for the Rainiers in Tacoma against Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Pryor, 24, appeared in four games in relief for Jackson posting an 0-1 record, with a 14.73 ERA (6 ER/5.2 IP), striking out three and walking three. Pryor, Seattle's 5th round selection in 2010 out of Tennessee Tech was placed on the disabled list while recovering from surgery to repair a torn latisimus dorsi tendon in his right shoulder
