Port Huron Prowlers News Release

Port Huron, MI - Prowler's fans would go home smiling as the Port Huron power play went 4-4 and Curtis Martinu would stop 24 shots. helping the Prowlers demolish the Dayton Demolition 11-2.

Dustin Skinner would start off the scoring, on the power play, receiving a feed from Rob VanWynsberghe that put them up 1-0 in the first three minutes of the first period. Ahmed Mahfouz would put the Prowlers up 2-0 off of a Chris Leveille assist. Leveille would finish the game with 3 assists giving him 11 points on the season through four games. A four point night for Ahmed Mahfouz puts him in Leveille tied as the two league leaders in points scored.

The Demolition looked like they were going to make it a game early in the first period. A Mike Henderson power play goal would put the demolition on the board down 2-1 with plenty of time left in the first, but too much fire power from the prowlers as another power play goal would get by Louie George, off the stick of Justin Alonzo. Prowlers would take a 3-1 lead into the locker room.

Jared Hicks not only found his first goal of the season, he records his first hat trick along with an assist, also having himself a four point night to join the ranks with Mahfouz and Leveille.
