Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - Colorado Mammoth forward Gavin Prout has been named a second-team All-Pro by the National Lacrosse League.

Prout ranked fourth in the league with 59 assists this season and scored 30 goals to lead the Mammoth with 89 points. The Mammoth captain made his fifth NLL All-Star Game appearance this year and led his team to the West Division title and its fifth consecutive playoff berth.

"Gavin is a tremendous player and great leader of our team both on and off the floor," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "It is nice to see him honored again this season because he is one of the game's best."

Prout, who has averaged better than 84 points per season during his six-year career, eclipsed the 500-point mark this season en route to his fourth All-Pro distinction. He was a second-team choice in 2002 for the New York Saints and in 2004 after his first season with the Mammoth. He was a first-team selection in 2006 after his first season as the Mammoth's captain.
