Dan Dawson named NLL First-Team All-Pro

GLENDALE, AZ --- The National Lacrosse League announced today that Arizona Sting forward Dan Dawson has been named a 2007 First-Team All-Pro. This is the second time in his career that the 25-year old has earned a spot on the prestigious squad honoring the league's top yearly performers.

In 16 games played this season, Dawson registered 47G-60A-107P, setting a new Sting record for most assists and points in a season while finishing second in the NLL scoring race behind only Rochester's John Grant (51G-60A-111P). Dan earned NLL Player of the Week honors on three separate occasions during the '07 regular season and contributed a pair of game-winning goals in leading Arizona to a 9-7 record. The 6'5", 220 lb. native of Oakville, Ontario will represent Team Canada at the upcoming World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, set to commence in Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 14.

Dawson and the Sting will play the Rochester Knighthawks in the NLL Championship Game on Saturday, May 12, at 1:00pm at Jobing.com Arena.
