FRISCO, Texas - Juremi Profar hit a grand slam to fuel the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, to a 5-1, sweep-clinching win over the Corpus Christi Hooks Sunday at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

BIG MOMENTS

* Profar's slam - his second of the year - reversed an early 1-0 deficit and put the Riders ahead 4-1 in the second inning.

* Eliezer Alvarez extended the lead to 5-1 with an RBI double in the fourth.

* Yohander Mendez worked six innings and allowed an unearned run on five hits with no walks and five strikeouts to pick up the win.

KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

* Juremi Profar: 1-for-3, HR, 4 RBI

* Yohander Mendez: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 R/0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K (W)

NEWS AND NOTES

* The Riders swept Corpus Christi for the first time since June 25-28, 2010.

* Frisco's six-game winning streak ties a season-long.

* Sunday's win capped a streak of 26 games in 26 days. The Riders went 17-9 in that stretch.
