
Printz Selected to USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

Ralston, NE - Omaha's Greg Printz was among the 40 players selected to participate in January's USHL Top Prospects Game the league announced on Tuesday morning. The players are selected through a process involving NHL and USHL personnel and area all eligible for the 2017 NHL Draft.
Printz, acquired by the Lancers on November 31, has 13 points (4g, 9a) in 24 games with the Lancers and Chicago Steel this season. Since joining Omaha Printz has recorded four assists in four games. The Fairfax, VA native has assisted on the game-winning goal in each of the last three games.
A '98 birth year, Printz was a "C" Ranked skater by NHL Central Scouting on November's Players to Watch list. The "C" ranking projects the player to be drafted anywhere from the fourth to sixth round.
The USHL Top Prospects Game is a two-day event slated to take place January 9-10 in Sioux Falls, SD. Festivities will begin on January 9 with on and off-ice testing done by NHL Central Scouting and Hockey Tech.
In its fourth year the Top Prospects Game has seen 58 participants be selected in the NHL Draft. The 40 players will be split into Team East and Team West at a later date.
Omaha hosted the event last season. The Lancers were represented by John Wojciehowski, Jacob Bryson, and Zackarias Skog.
