American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(Nashua, NH, July 25, 2006) Nashua Pride officials announced today that the club has teamed up with the New Hampshire Network of Children's Advocacy Centers to help raise funds and awareness of the organization on the Saturday, August 12 game.

"The New Hampshire Network of Children's Advocacy Center is a terrific cause," says Pride general manager, Robin Wallace. "The Pride are honored to be partnered up with an organization that supports victims of child abuse. We are excited to back this worthy cause."

Children's Advocacy Centers are community based facilities that provide hope and healing to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members. In communities with a Children's Advocacy Center, law enforcement, the Division for Children, Youth and Families, the County Attorney's Office, victim advocate services and medical and mental health professionals sign a shared services agreement in which all parties self mandate a team approach to child abuse investigations and subsequent service delivery.

Based on a national model, Children's Advocacy Centers provide a safe neutral environment for the evaluation of child abuse and exploitation. In addition, these centers coordinate services for victims and families and promote child abuse prevention through community education.

The Nashua Pride, entering their first year of play in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, play their home games at Historic Holman Stadium. Prior to joining the Can-Am League, the Pride played for eight seasons in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, winning the 2000 Atlantic League championship.
