Syracuse Silver Knights News Release

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Silver Knights (2-5, Eastern Division #3) look to rebound from a challenging weekend by taking on the Harrisburg Heat (0-6, Eastern Division #5) at 7:05 p.m. EST at the Farm Show Arena.

SSK come into the match after dropping two in a row. The Silver Knights fell to the Baltimore Blast and Rochester Lancers, 12-4 and 12-11 in a shootout respectively.

"They finished very, very well. We had plenty of chances in the first half... They created better opportunities than we did." Head Coach Tommy Tanner explained.

Syracuse needs to find a way to get Kenardo Forbes to keep producing. The 2013-2014 All-MISL First Team selection has seven goals and four assists. In the team' s last game, the Jamaican notched his first hat-trick of the season. The playmaker' s last three-goal performance was against the Lancers on March 2, 2014.

The Harrisburg Heat is winless on the campaign with a 0-6 record. Kenneth Fultz leads the Pennsylvania franchise with four strikes.

The Silver Knights and Heat will be meeting for the second time Saturday. The Orange, Silver and Black topped Harrisburg 26-8 on December 13 at the War Memorial. Slavisa Ubiparipovic, Corey Elenio and Darren Toby each tallied two goals in the effort. Syracuse is 5-0 against teams from the Keystone State, sweeping its season series against the Pennsylvania Roar during the 2013-2014 MISL campaign.

"It was a promising effort [in that first game]," Tanner praised. " Our finishing was still a bit off, but the guys got it done."

Saturday' s contest will be broadcast live on GoLiveSportsCast.com beginning at 7:05 p.m. EST.

The Syracuse Silver Knights prepare for a home-and-away set against the Thruway Rivals to start the new year. SSK goes to Rochester on January 1 in leg one, and then returns to the War Memorial on January 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. EST. Tickets to all Silver Knights home games will be available at their office located inside the CNY Family Sports Centre, the Oncenter Box Office, online at SyracuseSilverKnights.com, or over the phone at 315- 303-7261.
