
Preview: Storm Set to Face Rival Stars in Lincoln

Lincoln, NE. - The Tri-City Storm travel to faceoff against rival Lincoln tonight at the Ice Box in Lincoln, NE. Tonight's game is the final game of the Storm's two game weekend on the road. Last night in Ralston, NE, Tri-City defeated Omaha 3-2 in a shootout. The win was the 7th of the season in Tri-City's first nine games.
Tri-City (7-1-1) enters tonight's game as the 1st place team in the Western Conference standings. Tri-City has captured fifteen of a possible eighteen points in the league standings through nine games played. In the only previous meeting between the Storm and Stars this season, Tri-City defeated Lincoln 3-1 at the Viaero Center on October 16th. Jake Barczewski recorded the win in net in the Storm's 3-2 shootout win against Omaha last night. Barczewski stopped 22 of 24 Lancers shots and improved to 3-0 on the season. Joe Molenaar and Ian Murphy each scored their 3rd goals of the season in Tri-City's win. Tonight's game will be the Storm's first trip to the Ice Box in Lincoln this season.
Lincoln (3-5-1-0) hosts Tri-City tonight after falling to Cedar Rapids last night at the Ice Box. Despite outshooting the RoughRiders 47-29, the Stars fell by a final score of 7-2. Lincoln is currently in 7th place in the Western Conference standings, with seven points through nine games. Caleb Rule and Shane Pinto netted the Stars' only goals in last night's home loss. Pinto leads all Stars skaters with seven goals and eleven points on the season. He is the only Stars player currently averaging more than one point per game.
Tonight's game is set to begin at 7:05pm CT, and will be streamed live on HockeyTV, and Storm Radio. HockeyTV is a subscription based service that carries all Storm home and away games throughout the season. Storm Radio is the new audio broadcast home for Tri-City Storm hockey and can be accessed through Mixlr, StormHockey.com, or by downloading the official Tri-City Storm Mobile App. The broadcast will begin twenty minutes prior to the advertised game start time.
