Preview: Storm Look to Stay Hot Tonight vs. Green Bay

Green Bay, WI. - Tri-City has won 7 of the last 10 games, and is 8-3 on the road this season entering tonight's matchup against Eastern Conference foe Green Bay.

Tri-City (17-6) is coming off a 3-2 defeat of the Lincoln Stars on Wednesday. The Storm improved to 5-0 on the season against their in state rivals with the victory. Tri-City is 5-1 this season in six games played against Eastern Conference opponents. The set of games this weekend will be the only two times that the Storm and the Gamblers meet this season. Last season, the Gamblers won both games in the season series. Tri-City enters tonight's game as the 2nd place team in the Western Conference. Green Bay is currently 4th in the Eastern Conference.

Green Bay has the 3rd best penalty kill in the USHL, trailing only Chicago and Tri-City. The power play for the Gamblers has converted on 12.4% of its chances this season and is ranked 15th out of 17 teams in the league. Green Bay has won 3 of its last 5 games, and has also won 7 of its last 10 home games played at the Resch Center. Tri-City and Green Bay are tied for the most home wins the season in the USHL with 9. The Storm have the 2nd best road record in the league this season.

Tyler Madden scored his first goal with the Storm this season back on Wednesday and leads all Storm players with 7 goals on the year. Madden was acquired in a trade with Central Illinois on December 11th. Bryan Yoon leads Tri-City with 12 assists this season. Ronnie Attard leads the Storm in the plus/minus rating and scored his 6th goal of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Lincoln. Attard now leads all USHL defenseman in goal scoring this season.

Tri-City has scored the first goal of the game in 13 of its 23 games this season and has a 12-1 record when scoring the opening goal. The Storm have allowed the least amount of goals out of any USHL team this season with 39. The Storm have allowed on average 1.70 goals against this season and are the only team in the league allowing less than 2 goals per game. Tri-City is 9-1 in one goal games and has not lost a game this season when leading after the 1st period.
