Kelowna Rockets News Release
The Kelowna Rockets will be looking to snap a two-game losing streak when they take on the Kamloops Blazers in a home-and-home series this weekend. The two will play at 7:05 on Friday in Kelowna, then meet the next night at 6:00 pm in Kamloops.
Kelowna is coming off a 4-3 loss to the US Division-leading Everett Silvertips on Wednesday night, where the 'Tips scored the game-winner with 1:31 to go in regulation. Captain Gabriel Szturc scored a pair of goals, while goaltender Jake Pilon stopped 32 of the 36 shots he faced.
The Blazers did not have a midweek game. They faced the Royals last weekend in back-to-back games on the island where they fell 7-2 in the first game but picked up a 6-2 victory in the second game.

Carter Kowalyk and Jackson Gillespie are both out week-to-week with upper-body injuries
The Rockets have called up 16-year-old affiliate defenceman Lachlan Staniforth. A sixth-round pick of the Rockets in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft, Staniforth has recorded seven points (1G, 6A) and 36 penalty minutes through 26 games this season with the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds of the BCEHL U18

THE LAST TIME THESE TWO MET
The Rockets opened their regular-season series with the Kamloops Blazers following the holiday break in December. The two split the weekend home and home series that saw the Blazers win 3-2 on home ice on December 27. The following night the Rockets came back to down the Blazers 6-4 at Prospera Place.

The Kelowna Rockets online 50/50 is back for the 2023-24 season!
The online 50/50 will give fans in Rockets fans located in British Columbia and those who are attending the game the chance to win during every Rockets home game this season. The 50/50 will also raise important dollars for the Kelowna Minor Hockey Association.
Tickets will be available for purchase on all game days starting at 9 a.m. PT and end at the start of the third period on the same day.

LINEUP SHEET + GAME DAY PROGRAM
Printed lineup sheets will not be available at games this season, they can be accessed online by visiting the game day program.
The Game Day Program will be available in the same spot, it comes complete with game notes, stats, team rosters and entry forms for the Rockets intermission contests.
The sheet and program will be uploaded by 3:00 p.m. on game days
