Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is thrilled to announce that a total of $18,025 was raised through their online jersey auction this past weekend, which featured one-of-a-kind SpongeBob SquarePants Patrick Star themed pink jerseys as part of RE/MAX presents: Nickelodeon Night.
Net proceeds from this auction will go to Children's Miracle Network and the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, which strives to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and research.
"The Pats have raised a total of $47,575 in support of this great cause over the last two seasons," Pats CEO Gord Pritchard said. "We'd like to thank all the bidders who supported the Children's Miracle Network through our auction and also thank RE/MAX, Nickelodeon and the WHL for playing an important role in helping children right here in our province."
The highest bidding jersey was Tanner Howe's, which went for $1,875. The next closest was Corbin Vaughan's jersey ($1,325), followed by Braxton Whitehead's ($1,250), Jaxin Vaughan's ($1,200), and Tye Spencer's ($1,075).
This is the second of four online jersey auctions the Pats will be doing this season, all of which will see money raised for different charitable causes. More details on the next Pats online jersey auction will be made public in the coming weeks, as the Pats host the Edmonton Oil Kings on February 10 for our Indigenous Celebration Game.
