Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats (33-20-5-4) close out a three-in-three segment and play their seventh game in ten days when they face the Moose Jaw Warriors (26-31-4-1) at the Brandt Centre
(6 p.m.). The Pats hold a 3-0-2-0 record against the Warriors through five meetings this season. Last night saw the Pats and Warriors trade the lead four times in a 6-5 overtime loss in Moose Jaw. Adam Brooks leads the Pats with eight points (4G, 4A) in five contests against the Warriors. Tanner Eberle is the top Warrior with six points (4G, 2A) versus Regina. The Pats have lost three straight, but picked up points in two of those games including last night's loss. The Warriors have won two in a row. Tune into tonight's game on 620 CKRM starting at 5:35 p.m.
Lead Up: Back and Forth Game Goes to Warriors 6-5 in OT
Adam Brooks posted a hat-trick and added an assist, but it wouldn't be enough as the Warriors captured a 6-5 victory in overtime. Brooks scored twice in the first for the Pats to lead 2-1, but the Warriors stormed back by scoring three times in the middle period and led 4-2 going to the third. The Pats scored three of their own, with Patrick D'Amico putting the Blue and White ahead. Brett Howden tied the game on a goal that was initially waved off, but later ruled a goal. Jesse Shynkaruk rewarded the hosts' resilience by scoring on a nice move to the middle of the ice for the overtime winner.
Sunday Night Hockey
The Pats have played in six Sunday matchups this season and come into tonight's game with a 2-2-1-1 record on the final day of the week. Three of those games came as the final game in three-in-three sets where the Pats have a 1-2-0-0 record.
D'Amico Hits 150
Over-age forward Patrick D'Amico played his 150th career WHL game last night in Moose Jaw. D'Amico is in the midst of a career year with 18 goals and 25 assists in 62 games played (also a career high). The Winnipeg, MB product has 68 points (25G, 43A) over his 150 games played.
Career Night
Adam Brooks saw his career high eleven game point streak come to an end Friday, but exploded back onto the score sheet last night. The 18-year old posted his first career hat-trick and added an assist for a career high four point night. Brooks now leads the Pats with 53 points and 25 goals.
