Preview: Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC vs. Ottawa Fury FC

Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (1-0-2) looks to extend its three-game unbeaten streak this Saturday, hosting Ottawa Fury FC (0-2-0) at 7 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.

The Hounds have been hot to start the year, having yet to concede a goal, while most recently pouring on four tallies against Toronto FC II last weekend. They are one of only two teams in the league not to have allowed a goal so far this year, while a shutout on Saturday would set the longest streak ever for the Hounds in the current era of the USL (since 2011).

Saturday's match marks the second straight opponent the Hounds have faced north of the border. The club has fared well against its Canadian counterparts in Ottawa and Toronto, holding a 7-0-3 record all-time, including 1-0-1 against Fury FC.

For Ottawa, the club has struggled to date, allowing the most goals in the Eastern Conference (9) despite playing the least amount of games (2). This weekend's tilt will mark the third straight game for Fury FC on the road to start the season.

Off the pitch, the Hounds have teamed up with Bundesliga side FC Schalke for a second straight season to do a special giveaway, as the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a co-branded koozie. In addition, fans can expect to receive a free schedule magnet, provided by Amcom Office Systems, while supplies last.

Tickets to Saturday's match are still available and can be purchased at Riverhounds.com. Fans unable to attend can follow the action live at USL Match Center.
