Phoenix Rising FC got back into the win column following a 1-0 road win over LA Galaxy II. Forward Didier Drogba scored the match's lone goal in the 64th minute, his first goal of 2018. Goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski earned his second clean sheet of the season.
Both clubs had their chances through the first hour of the match, but it was Drogba in the 64th minute who broke the scoreless draw.
With the ball at his feet at the top of the box, Drogba curled a shot around the keeper and into the lower right corner of the net to earn Phoenix Rising three more points. (Goal)
LA Galaxy II (0-3-2) had an excellent chance in the 54th minute to take the lead but Woszczynski made an acrobatic diving stop to his right to punch the shot away and keep it 0-0. (Save)
