FC CINCINNATI ON THE ROAD
FC Cincinnati hits the road this week for a Sunday match-up at Bethlehem Steel FC with the match set to start at 3:00 p.m.
The Orange and Blue, who had a 5-9-4 road mark in 2017, will look to keep their travel ledger unblemished this week at Steel FC.
FCC owns a 3-2-0 series lead but lost twice at Goodman Stadium last season.
FCC suffered its first loss of the season with a 1-0 decision against Louisville City FC and takes a 2-1-0 mark into the weekend.
NEWTON WINS USL SAVE OF THE MONTH
Evan Newton was named the winner of March's Save of the Month.
Voted on by fans, the poll recognizes the best goal scored and best save.
Newton, who named to USL's Team of the Week in Week 3, comes away with the Save of the Month after denying a Jack McInerny penalty kick and the follow-up shot from Ben Speas to preserve the team's 1-0 lead at Indy Eleven.
WALKER STILL DAY TO DAY
Kenney Walker has been cleared to train and remains listed as day-to-day.
Walker suffered a concussion against Indy Eleven that sidelined the midfielder for FCC's home match against Louisville City FC.
ABOUT BETHLEHEM STEEL FC
Bethlehem Steel FC opened the season (1-2-1) with a 4-1 win against Richmond Kickers but has followed the victory with a pair of losses and a draw.
Steel FC's most recent result was a 1-1 tie against Charleston Battery last week.
Brandon Allen is the team's goal-scoring leader with two goals.
Cory Burke, Erik Ayuk and Derrick Jones each have a goal apiece.
John McCarthy has three appearances in the net for Steel FC and has conceded four goals.
He has also saved 11 of 17 shots faced and is in a four-way tie for seventh in the league that includes FCC's Evan Newton.
ORANGE AND BLUE BY THE NUMBERS
FCC is tied for sixth with two clean sheets, both posted by Evan Newton.
The defense has been a key component with FCC topping the USL with just one goal conceded.
FCC ON U.S. OPEN CUP CALENDAR, HOSTS AT GETTLER
FCC will host the winner of Detroit City FC (NPSL) or Michigan Bucks (PDL) on May 16 at Gettler Stadium.
Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. with ticket information due to be released as it becomes available.
FCC made national headlines after a spectacular Open Cup run in 2017 that saw the Orange and Blue advance to the semifinals.
FCC defeated AFC Cleveland, Louisville City FC, and Columbus Crew by scores of 1-0.
FCC then pushed Chicago Fire SC to extra time and prevailed on penalty kicks before they handed Miami FC a 1-0 loss to set up the semifinal fixture.
FCC's match against the Fire drew 32,287, the third-highest attended match in Cup history and then took on the Red Bulls in front of 33,250 for the highest-attended match for a non-final.
