NEWS AND NOTES

Last Time Out: The Cougars dropped a 4-3 decision on Saturday to the Swift Current Broncos at the Innvoationplex. Tyler Brennan made 33 stops in the setback, while Chase Wheatcroft and blue-liners Ethan Samson and Hudson Thornton continued their scoring ways. For Wheatcroft, he scored his 25th goal of the season and 17th power-play goal. Wheatcroft now stands alone in 2nd place in franchise history in single season power-play goals. He sits behind Berkeley Buchko who had 18 in 2000-01. Ethan Samson and Hudson Thornton currently pace the Cats in goals among all blue liners. Both defenders scored on Saturday in Swift Current.

Welcome back to Med Hat, Dez: Cougars forward Carlin Dezainde makes his return to Medicine Hat after being traded last season to the Cougars. Dezainde enters tonight's game against the Tigers with points in three straight games.

On the Other Side: The Medicine Hat Tigers enter tonight's game against Prince George with four wins in their last 10 games. Offensively, Medicine Hat is led by Brendan Lee who owns 38 points on the campaign (20-18-38).
