FRISCO, TX - After hosting the undefeated Arizona Rattlers in week eight of the 2022 IFL season, followed by a bye week, the Frisco Fighters will make their way to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on the Storm Saturday night at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The Fighters are looking to bounce back after falling to the Rattlers 35-49. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
The Sioux Falls Storm are 4-3 this season and are looking to continue their two-game winning streak.

Past meetups - Fighters vs Storm
The Fighters and Storm first met up last season on July 31, 2021, in Sioux Falls. After trailing by four points during the first half of the game, the Frisco Fighters fought to comeback and with a 25-yard safety they were able to come out on top with a 37-33 win.
Players to watch
Quarterbacks, TJ Edwards and Blake Sims, played a significant role offensively for the Fighters in week eight. Collectively, they passed for over 118 yards total. Edwards tallied seven (13 attempt) passes while rushing for 23 yards, resulting in two touchdowns. Sims also tallied seven (13 attempt) passes while rushing 32 yards.
Running back Justin Rankin rushed for a total of 15 yards and received for 31 yards, resulting in a touchdown. Rankin received a long pass of 30 yards, and still holds the No.1 spot for rushing and scoring thus far in the 2022 IFL season with over 390 rushed yards and 96 points.
Wide receivers Jerminic Smith, Damian Ford, and Sheldon Augustine were key players for the Fighters offense. Smith received over 65 yards, the most of any Fighters offensive player that game. Ford tallied 12 yards from two passes, resulting in a touchdown. Augustine not only received for 23 yards, but also returned for a total of 126 yards.
Defensive men Cedric Poole and Cameron Hilton both had interceptions during week eight's game. Both tallied four (three solo) tackles. Defensive back Trey Wafford also had a big night with six (three solo and three assisted) tackles.
After trailing by 21 points in the first quarter, the Fighters fought to comeback in the second quarter. After scoring 21 in the first half, the Fighters were able to shorten the Rattlers lead. However, with a touchdown with less than five minutes left in the game the Rattlers cemented the lead resulting in the Fighters falling 49-35.
