IFL Announces Week Nine Players of the Week

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 9 of the 2022 season. Green Bay Quarterback, Jack Sheehan, takes Offensive Player of the Week. Iowa Defensive Back, Jordan Baldwin, earns Defensive Player of the Week and Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Tucson Kicker, Logan Justus.
Jack Sheehan - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
After losing their first two matchups with Bismarck by a total of five points, the Green Bay Blizzard left nothing to chance in their third meeting. The Blizzard dominated all aspects of the game enroute to a 55-14 victory. Green Bay's Quarterback was masterful in putting up one of the IFL's best performances of the season. Sheehan completed 15 of 17 pass attempts for 232 yards and seven touchdowns. He also added a rushing score. That's right, eight touchdowns in one game.
Jordan Baldwin - DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Iowa's win over Quad City was big; both in current Eastern Conference standings and in potential playoff implications. Iowa stepped up to the challenge, putting up their highest point total of the season in a 63-47 victory. As impressive as the offense was, two of those touchdowns belong to the defense. To be more specific, they belong to Iowa Defensive Back, Jordan Baldwin. Early in the first quarter, a Quad City field goal was blocked. Baldwin recovered it for a touchdown and the game's first points. Later in the fourth quarter, with Quad City driving to cut the Iowa lead to 10, Baldwin flashed again with a 26-yard pick six to put the game away.
Logan Justus - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
This had potential to be a thriller. Two of the highest scoring offenses in the league and in-state rivals. The only caveat being that the rivalry had been pretty one-sided. Actually, it had been completely one-sided. The Tucson Sugar Skulls had never defeated the Arizona Rattlers. Until now. This game was non-stop action with the final score being a 74-63 Sugar Skulls victory at the Boneyard. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Tucson Kicker, Logan Justus. Justus was a perfect two of two on field goals and added eight PATs for a total of 14 points off of his foot alone.
