FRISCO, TX - After a close scoring game against the Green Bay Blizzard, the Frisco Fighters will travel to Moline, Illinois to play against the Quad City Steamwheelers at TaxSlayer Center Saturday night. Both teams will battle it out after coming off wins last week. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 PM.

Past meetups - Fighters vs Steamwheelers
This will be the first meetup between the Fighters and the Steamwheelers. The first meetup was originally scheduled for May 2, 2020 but was cancelled due to COVID-19. These two teams were unable to meet the following season (2021) also due to COVID-19 restrictions voiding Quad City's whole season.
Players to watch
After a scoreless first quarter, Quarterback TJ Edwards was able to help get the Fighters on the scoreboard with a 11-yard pass to Running Back Justin Rankin. Quarterback Blake Sims threw for a collective 113 yards with 12 completed passes (18 attempts). Sims also rushed in two touchdowns at the end of the second quarter and the middle of the third quarter. Both quarterbacks tallied a total of 127 yards for the Fighters.
Wide Receiver Sheldon Augustine was the team's top receiver during week fives game against the Blizzard. He received for a total of 41 yards from 4 passes, followed by Rankin with 5 receiving for 24 yards, proving he is worth being the topped ranked rusher in the league.
Defensive Back Trey Wafford made his debut with the Fighters last week, and he did not hold back. Wafford tallied 7 tackles (6 solo) and 1 broken up pass. Defensive Back Santos Ramirez also was a key defensive player with an interception in the third quarter.
Defensive Lineman Willie Hibbler had a big game against the Blizzards. Hibbler tallied 4 tackles (3 solo) and 2 sacks for a loss of 24 yards.
After a slow start and scoreless first quarter, the Frisco Fighters were able to rally back scoring 21 points in the second quarter while keeping the Green Bay Blizzard to 7. A touchdown from the Blizzard with less than 20 seconds on the clock left the Fighters down by one point and with the help of Kicker Bryce Crawford's field goal, the Fighters were able to come out on top with a 38-36 win.
