
Storm Look to Bounce Back against the Barnstormers

SIOUX FALLS, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm travel to Des Moines, IA for the second meeting of four this season against the Iowa Barnstormers. The Storm come into the contest 2-2 and the Iowa Barnstormers 2-1. Kickoff is set for 7:05 PM on Saturday, April 16.
Two weeks after the first meeting between the two teams, the Storm are looking to bounce back after losing the last two games, one to Iowa and the other to Quad City. Leading the way in the last matchup against Quad City, running back Nate Chavious had 67 rush yards on 13 attempts. Quarterback Daniel Smith had 101 passing yards on 7-of-17 completions as well as two passing touchdowns and nine rush yards. Paris Taylor paced the Storm on the defensive side of the ball as he had six total tackles, four of them being solo and two assisted. Mike Alvarez and Marquis Hendrix had five tackles apiece.
The Iowa Barnstormers come off a 36-18 home victory against the Green Bay Blizzard. Quarterback Darius-James Peterson started the game with a rushing touchdown and threw a 48-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. Running backs AJ Turner and Eric Thomas each had rushing touchdown and kicker Gabriel Rui completed three field goals.
