At this point in the season, all games are important for teams fighting for their playoff lives. For the Charlottetown Islanders, today's game against the Cape Breton Eagles might just be a little more important than most.
The Islanders (17-25-4-1) are tied with the Eagles for 15th overall in the QMJHL standings, currently holding the final playoff position with 21 games remaining in the regular season. The two teams have four games remaining against one another, a series that could arguably decide playoff positioning. Charlottetown has been playing inspired hockey as of late; however, they came up short on Friday night against the Halifax Mooseheads, a game in which the Islanders uncharacteristically gave up the lead in the third period.
Meanwhile, the Eagles (18-26-2-1) are coming off a Friday night loss of their own, a 4-0 defeat to the Rimouski Oceanic. Despite the loss, the Eagles have been playing strong hockey as of late, winning 3 of their previous 5 heading into Sunday afternoon's game.
ROSTER UPDATES

For the first time in many games, the Islanders iced a fully healthy lineup Friday night against Halifax; Sam Bowness, Brett Arsenault, and Kiefer Lyons served as healthy scratches.
Cape Breton
Forward Cameron Henderson returns from a two-game suspension, while forward Charles Boutin serves the second of a two-game suspension for boarding. 2022 first-round pick William Shields returns to the lineup after sitting Friday's game due to an undisclosed injury.
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Charlottetown
Michael Horth leads all Islanders with 19 goals on the season, his latest coming Thursday night against the Mooseheads. Horth also added the shootout winner in that game.
Lucas Romeois heating up. The 17-year-old forward has points in three of his last four games, including back-to-back assists against Halifax.
Cape Breton
Despite being held off the scoresheet Friday, forward Samuel Johnson has been an offensive catalyst this season. Prior to Friday, the over-age forward had eight points in his past seven games.
Portage, PEI product Zach Biggar has certainly enjoyed his time in Cape Breton. The defenseman has 12 points in 15 games with the Eagles since being acquired from the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada at the Christmas trading period.
