Tri-City Americans News Release

Americans vs Vancouver

Saturday, December 2 | Kennewick, WA | Toyota Center

Start Time: 6:05 p.m. PDT

The Americans and Giants will faceoff for the third time in their four-game season series this evening at the Toyota Center.

They last played each other a week ago in Vancouver. An explosive four-goal second period pushed the Americans to a 5-2 victory over the Giants. Jake Sloan, Deagan McMillan, Drew Freer, Cash Koch, and Parker Bell scored for the Americans. Lukas Dragicevic led the Tri-City with three assists, a season-high for the Seattle Kraken prospect. Kyle Kelsey played in net, turning aside 25 of 27 shots faced.

Tri-City will look to put themselves back in the win column tonight after losing their last two and last three at home. This is the only time this season that the Ams have lost multiple straight games at the Toyota Center.

Despite holding a 1-0 lead for most of last night, a pair of power play goals downed the Americans as they Cougars won 4-1. Zac Funk tied the game for Prince George late second period and went on to record a natural hat trick.

Lukas Matecha had another outstanding performance in net for the Americans. The first-year goaltender from Czechia made a career-high 39 saves on 41 shots. The Americans were held scoreless on the power play as they went 0/4 with a man-advantage.

Tonight will be the second game in a three-in-three weekend for the Americans. They will play again tomorrow as they talk on the Wild in Wenatchee.
