Press Signs ATO with IceHogs

Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Tuesday they have signed defenseman Robin Press, to an amateur tryout contract (ATO).

Press, 20, joins the IceHogs after completing his third season with Sodertalje SK in the Swedish Hockey League. The blueliner appeared in 51 games and collected a career high 30 points (13g-17a) to lead all defensemen during the 2014-15 campaign.

In three seasons, the 6-foot-2-inch defenseman, notched 49 points (19g-30) in 143 contests.

The native of Uppsala, Sweden was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round (#213 overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Next Home Game: Wednesday, April 15 vs. Charlotte Checkers. The IceHogs begin a three-game homestand to close out their regular season schedule when they host Charlotte at the BMO. It is the final WXRX Dollar Day of the season, so fans have one last chance to enjoy hot dogs, sodas, beers and companion tickets all for just $1 each.
