NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (September 10)- If the beginning of each period was any indication of the game, the Brahmas may not have left the dressing room at all.
Dress rehearsal is finally over for the Lone Star Brahmas as they fell to the Wichita Falls Wildcats Wednesday evening, 8-2, on the road in the final pre-season game. The Brahmas went 1-1 in the preseason.
The first period began very shaky for the boys in purple as they gave up a goal just one minute into the game. The Cats struck a second time to go up 2-0. The Lone Star bench regrouped scoring their first of the game to enter the first intermission down a single goal.
The middle frame was one to be forgotten early when Wichita went up 3-1 with a goal 15 ticks in. It was another two goal period for Wichita, leaving the Brahmas scoreless and down 4-1.
Like deja vu, the Brahmas gave up another goal when the final period was underway which was only followed up by three additional Wichita goals for a 8-2 score. A defeated Lone Star team was able to find the scoreboard in the third.
