ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 6, 2006) - The number of players signed from the Orlando Predators Free Agent Tryout camp last Saturday increased to five on Friday when Head Coach JAY GRUDEN announced that defensive back NICK "The Quick" ALLISON had agreed to a two-year contract. Terms were not disclosed.

Allison played two record-setting years for the Daytona Beach Thunder. In 2005, he tied a National Indoor Football League record with 14 interceptions in just 12 games played. His totals included four interceptions in a 22-17 win over Rome (Ga.) and three interceptions against Everett. In 2006, Allison earned first team All-Southern Conference honors and was named Southern Conference "Defensive Player of the Year," finishing the season with 13 interceptions while playing for Daytona Beach in the American Indoor Football League.

Allison played two seasons at Eastern Illinois. He recorded 14 tackles and one interception as a freshman and started 12 games as a sophomore, finishing the season with 45 tackles, a pair of interceptions and ranked sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference in pass defenses.

"Nick Allison has incredible ball skills," Gruden said. "It doesn't matter what level of professional competition you are talking about, 27 interceptions over two years in unbelievable. I believe that Nick has a real opportunity to be an impact player in the Arena Football League."

Allison joins DB PAUL CANNINGS, OL JOHN MILLER, DB MICHEAUX ROBINSON, and DL LORENZO DAVIS as players who were signed by the Predators out last weekend's free agent tryout camp.
