PrairieThunder to Participate in "Hockey Across America"

Bloomington-Normal's only professional winter sports team, PrairieThunder Hockey, will be participating in the "Hockey Weekend Across America" celebration with a number of special events scheduled for the PrairieThunder home game at U.S. Cellular Coliseum this comingMonday, February 21st, when Bloomington hosts the Quad City Mallards at 7:05pm. Hockey Weekend Across America was created by USA Hockey in 2008 to engage the hockey community in celebrating the sport of hockey at all levels and exposing the sport to new audiences.
On Monday (February 21st), PrairieThunder fans are encouraged to wear their hockey jerseys to work and to tag themselves on the PrairieThunder Facebook page. Those who participate will be eligible to win a prize from the PrairieThunder.
Then at the PrairieThunder home game on Monday night at 7:05pm at U.S. Cellular Coliseum, anyone wearing their favorite jersey can purchase tickets for only $10.00.
There will be a Youth Hockey Scrimmage between periods and it will also be "Teacher Appreciation Night". For details on "Teacher Appreciation Night", please call the PrairieThunder offices at 309-585-0507.

Bloomington PrairieThunder single game tickets are on sale at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum Box Office. Tickets are on sale at the Coliseum Box Office Monday through Friday from 11am to 5:30pm and on weekends when there are events in the Coliseum.
