
PrairieThunder Shutout Again by Quad City on Sunday Afternoon

The Quad City Mallards and goaltender David Brown shutout the Bloomington PrairieThunder for the second time this week, this time by a 2-0 margin on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. This past Monday night in Moline, Illinois, Brown and his Mallard Mates shutout the PThunder 4-0. In the two shutout victories, David Brown stopped 79 shots, including 43 on Sunday afternoon. Bloomington outshot Quad City 43-23 but it was the Mallards that lit the lamp behind Bloomington's Marco Emond with goals from Obi Aduba (the game winner at 6:37 of the first period) and Eric Giosa.

Bloomington is back on the U.S. Cellular Coliseum ice for two more home games this coming week. The PrairieThunder entertain the Evansville IceMen on Wednesday night (1/5) and the Dayton Gems on Friday night (1/7).
