BLOOMINGTON, Ill.anuary 2, 2011) - David Brown made 43 saves and Obi Aduba and Eric Giosa both scored as the Quad City Mallards shut out the host Bloomington PrairieThunder 2-0 Sunday. The win was the Mallards' third road victory in just under 48 hours.
Aduba backhanded a rebound in from the crease to give the Mallards a 1-0 lead at 6:37 of the first period.
The Mallards were on the power play when Giosa- who had assisted on Aduba's goal- doubled the Quad City lead from the goalmouth at 15:47 of the second period. Brown was at his busiest in the second, turning aside a total of 15 Bloomington shots, including several sterling scoring opportunities.
The Mallards return to action Friday at 7:05 p.m. on home ice against the Tulsa Oilers. The first 1,000 fans ages 12 and under through the doors of the i wireless Center for that game will receive free kids' 40" wooden hockey sticks courtesy of CBS 4 and 97X.

On Sundays on which the Mallards play at home the ticket office will be open from 1:00 p.m. until the end of the first period.
