Four games in five nights took its toll on the Bloomington PrairieThunder as the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees shutout the Bloomington squad 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Aaron Lewicki scored twice for the Killer Bees and Tomas Klempa scored the game winner at 9:04 of the first period. The Bees also got lamp lighters from Tyler Lehrke and Ryan McLeod. Rio Grande Valley goaltender Juliano Pagliero stopped all 27 shots he faced for his second shutout of the season.
With the loss, Bloomington drops to 8-6-1 on the year while Rio Grande Valley snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 8-9-2.
