On Sunday, the New York Liberty (4-2) fell to the Chicago Sky (4-3), 86-82,in the second game of their 2023 four-game season series and second matchup in three days.
At Barclays Center, the Liberty finished on 44.6% (33-74) shooting from the field, 24% (6-25) from three, and 71.4% (10-14) at the free throw line.
New York opened today's game on a 13-0 run, which ranks second all-time in franchise history behind a 14-0 against Connecticut on August 17, 2007. Their 29-point second quarter also marked a season-high in second-quarter scoring.

Breanna Stewart recorded her third-consecutive double-double -- her fifth through six games this season. She finished with a team-high 20 points on 57.1% (8-14) shooting from the floor, a game-high 11 rebounds, and four assists.
Highlighted by a seven-point, four-rebound, three-assist first quarter, Courtney Vandersloot finished with 18 points on 66.7% (6-9) shooting from the field, including 50% (1-2) from three, a game-high 10 assists, and a season-high eight rebounds -- her second double-double of the season.
In her 2023 home debut, Marine Johannès finished with 11 points on 50% (5-10) shooting from the field and two assists.
At the 3:17 mark of the first, Stefanie Dolson recorded her 1000th career field goal.
For Chicago, Kahleah Copper finished with a game-high 28 points and seven rebounds.
