Ports Call up 2022 Draft Pick Daniel Susac, Four Others

STOCKTON,Ca. - Five of the A's 2022 draft picks will be making their way to affiliated ball just weeks after being drafted as catcher Daniel Susac, infielder Brennan Milone, first baseman Tommy Stevenson, and outfielders Caeden Trenkle and Cameron Masterman have been assigned to the Stockton Ports, the team announced Tuesday.

The Ports welcome five new players from the A's 2022 draft class, all of whom will be making their full season debuts this week at Excite Ballpark in San Jose. C Daniel Susac, the A's first-round selection (19th overall) out of Arizona is the headliner. He went 3-for-6 with a double in two games in the ACL after signing.

Joining Susac in a Ports uniform are INF Brennan Milone (6th round - Oregon), OF Caeden Trenkle (9th - Oklahoma State), 1B Tommy Stevenson (19th - Missouri Southern State), and OF Cameron Masterman (Non-Drafted Free Agent - Louisville).

Susac will be the designated hitter in tonight's series opener against the Giants and bat fifth along with Trenkle playing leftfield and hitting second, and Milone playing second base and hitting eighth.

The former Arizona Wildcat Susac is coming off his sophomore season at the University of Arizona where he tallied numerous honors and awards, including Pac-12 All-Conference and All-Tournament Team. He hit .362 with 12 home runs, 65 runs batted in, and an impressive 1.012 OPS.
