Portland Winterhawks News Release
The Portland Winterhawks have finalized the venue schedule for the 2011-12 Western Hockey League season, with the team set to play 14 games at the Rose Garden and 22 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The first of the Rose Garden games will be the home opener on Friday, September 23 against the Everett Silvertips, followed by their next two homes games on September 30 and October 1. The first game at Veterans Memorial Coliseum will be Saturday, October 8 against the Prince Albert Raiders. A full home schedule is attached to the email in PDF format.
However, the venue schedule could change as the season progresses. If the current NBA labor dispute extends into the scheduled start of basketball season, the Winterhawks could move games to the Rose Garden. Should that be the case, the Winterhawks will announce those changes as those games approach.
Season tickets for the 2011-12 season are on sale now. Fans can call 503-236-HAWK or email seats@winterhawks.com to book their seats.
