Plaza Adds Three Rider Greats

Today the Plaza of Honor Selection Committee reached back into the proud history of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and announced that three new members will be inducted into the Plaza of Honor. This year Larry Dumelie, Don Narcisse and John Lipp will have their names forever etched into Saskatchewan Roughrider history.

Besides being Saskatchewan's most prestigious sporting dinner, the Plaza of Honor Dinner has contributed over $4.2 million to the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club.

The Plaza of Honor Dinner presented by SaskTel has inducted 89 individuals who have made major contributions to the proud tradition of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club. The cairn honoring The Plaza of Honor Inductees is situated outside the main gates on the west side of Taylor Field. The Plaza of Honor cairn is sponsored by SaskTel, SASK SPORT INC. and the City of Regina.

This year's dinner is set for Friday, September 26th at the Queensbury Center on the Exhibition Grounds. · Led CFL in receptions with 123 catches in 1995

· Led West in receptions in 1995 (123) and 1989 (81 )

· Holds pro football record for consecutive games with at least one reception to 216 games

· In week 9 of 1999 season became first CFL player to reach 900 regular season receptions

· Became CFL's all-time leading receiver...made record setting reception on August 27th, 1998 at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. In fourth quarter Steve Sarkisian threw Narcisse record setting reception

· Set new professional football record for consecutive games with at least one reception MOVED BY former NFL star Art Monk against B.C. Lions in week four in 1997

· first CFL player to reach 900 career regular season receptions
