Pistilli Re-Assigned to Checkers from Florida

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers general manager and head coach Jeff Daniels announced today that forward Matthew Pistilli has been re-assigned to the team from its ECHL affiliate, the Florida Everblades.

Pistilli, 22, leads all ECHL skaters with 14 goals in 24 games and ranks second in the league with a +14 rating. The Montreal, Quebec native scored five goals and added three assists in 41 games with the Albany River Rats (AHL) last season.

The Checkers (14-9-3) will host Hershey on Friday at 7 p.m. for "As Seen on TV Night" and Teddy Bear Toss. The first 2,000 fans will receive an official "As Seen on TV" product.
