Barons Recall Gimblett from Stockton; Sign Bonk to PTO

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League recalled forward Jesse Gimblett from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL and signed centerman Dave Bonk to a PTO, the Barons front office officially announced today.

Gimblett, a 6-3, 215-pounder from Newtonville, Ontario attended Barons training camp prior to the start of the season. He was assigned to Stockton, the ECHL affiliate of the Oilers following training camp. With Stockton, Gimblett has eight points (5-3-8) and has served 23 penalty minutes in 15 games played. This is his first recall to the Barons this season.

Bonk, a 5-10, 185-pound native of Brandon, Manitoba has been playing with the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League. In 16 games with the Americans, he has recorded 21 points (6-15-21). This is his second call up to the Barons this season. He has appeared in one game, registering no points.

The Barons added these players to the roster to fill the roster spots left by Linus Omark and Ryan O'Marra who were recalled by Edmonton December 8.

Oklahoma City skates in three games this weekend, beginning at home Friday against the Manitoba Moose at 7:05 p.m. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs throughout the game and Christmas songs by area elementary school students. The weekend concludes with road games Saturday against Rockford at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday against Milwaukee at 5:05 p.m.
