
Pirates Sign DB Debione Renfro

WORCESTER, MA - The Massachusetts Pirates have signed defensive back Debione Renfro. Renfro most recently had signed a contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League this season. He spent the 2021 CFL season on the practice squad with the Edmonton Football Team.
The 6'2", 195 lb. DB from Pearland, TX, signed as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League in 2020 after playing for three seasons at Texas A&M.
From 2017 through 2019, Renfro appeared in 37 games and recorded 124 tackles (94 solo). He also had 5.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, defended 14 passes, forced four fumbles and recovered two more.
His best season as an Aggie might have been in 2017 as a true freshman. That season he started 11 of 13 games and tallied 54 tackles along with two for a loss. Renfro also defended five passes that season while forcing four fumbles and recovering one.
