THURSDAY, JULY 3rd – Ms. Pioneers Semi-Final: Attention all warm-blooded men and the women that love them! The semi-final for the Ms. Pioneer 2004 pageant is Thursday, July 3rd at the Waterfront Bar and Grill in Plains. Join WKRZ, the Weekender and the Pioneers judges at 6PM as they meet and mingle with the contestants. The BATHING SUIT competition begins at 7PM and the Interview competition is set for 7:30 with three semi-finalists named at 8PM. Your vote matters! At the semi-final competition on Thursday, and on the website next week, you'll have the ability to vote for your favorite from the final three. Popular Vote gets 20% of the final tally! The winner will be crowned on the field during the July 11th regular season finale. This event is appropriate for people 21 and older. THE COACHES SHOW IS LIVE ON THURSDAY FROM THE WATERFRONT at 8PM with your host Rob Neyhard and Special Guests. To listen, tune into WILK - 910 AM Scranton, 980 AM Wilkes-Barre, and 1300 AM Hazleton.

Buy-One-Get-One Free Upper Deck/Free T Shirt/Jersey Auction: The final game of the Pioneers 2003 regular season vs. the Albany Conquest is Fan Appreciation Night. The first 1,000 fans will receive a FREE Pioneers T-SHIRT courtesy of AAA Mid-Atlantic, WB 38 and Fox 56. Tickets are Buy-One-Get-One Free Upper Deck. And, weather permitting, the outdoor Fan Fest will be KICKIN' with the free NFL Interactive games, sponsor booths, music, food and drinks. After the game, the Pioneers are auctioning off six (6) game worn jerseys. But you have to stick around to bid, as the auctioneer will be RIGHT ON THE FIELD. AND the Pioneers are offering a regular-season-ending ARENA ONLY sale on all Pioneers merchandise. Everything is discounted 10%. Not valid with any other discounts. Tickets for the final regular season home game are available at the arena box office or through ticketmaster.

Booster Club End-of-the-Season Player Dinner and Awards: The Pioneers Booster Club is hosting their End-of-The-Season dinner on July 21st at the Ramada in downtown Wilkes-Barre. For information on attending the event, contact the Booster Club at wbspbc@adelphia.net. Speaking of the Booster Club, they are currently raising money for the SPCA by auctioning off dates with Kevin Nagle, Wali Mumin, Calvin Robinson and Nat Bandy. WBRE TV-28 and Pioneers Kids' Club Lunch: Parents, if your child is a member of the WBRE TV-28/Pioneers' Kids' Club, don't forget about the Monday, July 7th Kids' Club lunch. Members of the football team and dance team will be in attendance, as well as Crockett and a free Face Painter. The lunch is at Grotto's Pizza by the Wyoming Valley Mall. All Kids' Club members should have received a voucher for free pizza and soda in the mall. If your child is a member and has not received an invitation, please contact the Pioneers front office at (570) 970-4af2.

Fran Pasadero: The Arena Football family lost a member of its team with the recent and unfortunate death of Orlando Predator's coach Fran Pasadero. The Pioneers, whose President and GM Dave Berryman was a former co-worker and dear friend of Fran's, are working to build a donation to the Fran Pasadero Memorial Fund which will ultimately benefit Fran's two-year-old daughter. The Pioneers are selling $5 raffle tickets to support this cause. Fans that purchase raffle tickets may win two (2) season tickets, a signed football or other Pioneers gear.
