January 2, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced on Monday that goaltender Timo Pielmeier has been reassigned to the club by the NHL's New Jersey Devils from the AHL's Albany Devils. The Jackals also announced that they have placed forward Kelly Miller on waivers.

Pielmeier, a third-year pro, had been reassigned from Elmira to Albany on Dec. 21. The Deggendorf, Germany native is 5-5-0-0 with a .899 save percentage and a 3.25 goals-against average with the Jackals in 2011-2012. Pielmeier made one appearance in relief for the Devils in his most recent call-up, stopping eight of 10 shots in his first AHL action of the season.

Miller skated in two games with Elmira this past weekend and did not record a point.

The Jackals, who stand alone in first place in the Eastern Conference, put their six-game winning streak on the line on Friday when they return home to host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:35 p.m. Elmira finishes out the weekend with home games on Saturday and Sunday against the Cincinnati Cyclones.
