Phoenix Coyotes Shuffle Rampage Roster

SAN ANTONIO (December 9, 2007) - The Phoenix Coyotes re-assigned right wing Bill Thomas this morning to the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes' top minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL), as well as re-assigning forwards Olivier Latendresse and Alex Leavitt to the Arizona Sundogs, the Rampage's Central Hockey League affiliate.

Thomas, 24, appeared in four games for the Coyotes after being recalled from San Antonio on Dec. 1. Prior to that, he had recorded 18 points (9 goals, 9 assists) and 14 penalty minutes (PIM) in 24 games with the Rampage this season. At the time of his recall, he ranked third on the team in goals and points.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Thomas registered 14 points (8g, 6a) and 2 PIM in 24 games for the Coyotes last season. He also appeared in 47 games for San Antonio, recording 33 points (13g, 20a) and was selected to play in the AHL All-Star Game but was unable to participate due to a call-up to Phoenix.

Thomas made his NHL debut on Mar. 28, 2006 after signing with the Coyotes as a free agent. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native has collected 9-8-17 in 33 career NHL games.

The 21-year-old Latendresse appeared in four games for the Rampage after being assigned to San Antonio on Nov. 19. The LaSalle, Quebec native has registered three points (1g, 2a) in seven games with the Rampage this season. Latendresse has also acquired 14 points (eight goals, six assists) and eight PIMs in 10 games with the Sundogs this season.

Leavitt, 23, recorded two points (1g, 1a) in three games with the Rampage since his assignment to San Antonio on Nov. 19. The Edmonton, Alberta native has scored three points (1g, 2a) in four games for the Rampage this season. At the time of his recall, Leavitt had a 10-game point streak running and was Arizona's leading scorer with 24 points (11g, 13a) through 13 games this season.
