Philadelphia Union Continue Preseason Training in Deltona, Florida

Chester, Pa. (February 10, 2013)- Philadelphia Union continue preseason training this week in the Deltona-Orlando area. While practicing at the Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex in Deltona and competing in the 2013 Disney Pro Soccer Classic Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, the club will also travel to Jacksonville for an exhibition match with Montreal Impact.

In their second match of the Pro Soccer Classic, the Union will face Columbus Crew on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The team then travels to EverBank Field in Jacksonville to face Montreal Impact for an exhibition match at 7:00 p.m. on Friday before returning for the third game of Pro Soccer Classic group stages, a 3:00 p.m. matchup with D.C. United on Saturday.

Live streaming of both Pro Soccer Classic games - Wednesday at 1 p.m. vs. Columbus and Saturday at 3 p.m. vs. D.C. United - will be available on philadelphiaunion.com or MLSsoccer.com.

The Union finished with a 1-1 draw against Orlando City in their first match of the Pro Soccer Classic tournament on Saturday, with an equalizing goal coming from 2013 Supplemental Draft pick Leo Fernandes. The Union are now tied for second place in Group A with Orlando City (1 point), as Columbus Crew (3 points) defeated Toronto FC (0 points) with a 1-0 score line.

Throughout the week, the Union will participate in different events in the Deltona area. On Monday, Union players will visit approximately 50 fifth-grade students at Timbercrest Elementary School in Deltona before training to discuss academic success and the importance of making good choices. Later the in the day, staff and players of Philadelphia Union will be hosted by Zoom Air Orlando, a treetop adventure park at the Central Florida Zoo, to participate in games and challenges at their numerous zip lines.

On Thursday, the team will launch their Inaugural Train with the Pros day, allowing registered fans to train alongside Union players for the day.
