
Philadelphia Union Announce Off-Season Schedule of Events

Chester, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2013) - Philadelphia Union announced today the club's offseason schedule of events for fans, including a coaching clinic, holiday event at PPL Park and a fan trip to Florida during the Union's 2014 preseason.
In conjunction with Philadelphia Union's PDL affiliate partner, Reading United AC, the club will host a coaches clinic in Reading, Pa. on Nov. 13 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Body Zone Sports & Wellness Complex. Attended by Philadelphia Union Academy Coach Chris Brewer and a Philadelphia Union player, the clinic will feature interactive games and inflatables for children and an in-depth coaching clinic for registered participants. The Union will host "Path to PPL Park: A Soccer Education Forum" Dec. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at PPL Park. Among those scheduled to attend are Philadelphia Union Assistant Coach Jim Curtin, former Union player Chris Albright, Academy Director Tommy Wilson, Academy Coaches Chris Brewer and Jeff Cook along with Youth Development Managing Partner Richie Graham. The forum will feature demonstrations, presentations and clinics on youth soccer development and the college recruiting process ending in a question and answer session with fans in attendance. The event is free of charge and open to ages 12 years and older. Free parking will be provided in PPL Park Lot B.
To kick off the holiday season, Philadelphia Union will host an event at PPL Park Dec. 7 from 1:30-7:30 p.m. for fans. Season Ticket Holders will have the opportunity to take photographs in the Union locker room and with a Philadelphia Union player before enjoying discounted concessions in the stadium club during an MLS Cup watch party. In addition to a toy drive held for fans to donate items for those in need, the Union Shop will have discounts and holiday items available with free gift wrapping. The evening will culminate in an interactive goal lighting ceremony on the pitch at PPL Park.
Fans can also now pre-register for the Philadelphia Union's 2014 Preseason February Fan Trip to Florida. The trip will provide an in-depth look at the 2014 team among other various activities, including a meet and greet with players and technical staff.
