
Pheasants Sign Rookie Infielder Freeman

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Fighting Pheasants are just over a month from opening day and are putting the finishing pieces together of their 2011 club. The Pheasants announced today they have signed rookie infielder Cameron Freeman.
Freeman spent the past three seasons playing Division I baseball at East Carolina. In 2010, he batted .260 with 23 RBI and 3 home runs in 58 games. The Fayetteville, NC native batted .261 with a .800 on-base percentage during the 2009 season.
He is considered very athletic and quick and someone who can play both infield and outfield. He was a two sport athlete (baseball & football) in high school and was named to the Spring and Fall 2008 East Carolina Director of Athletics Honor Roll.
The Pheasants open the regular season on May 12th in St. Paul with the home opener set for May 16th against Winnipeg at 7:05 PM. Season, group and suite tickets are now available. Call the Pheasants office today at 336-6060 for more information.
