On Steel Night, the RailCats honor the industry that brought the City of Gary into existence! Steel company employees receive special group pricing and the RailCats will have a number of other Steel City surprises.

Medieval Night - Sunday, July 3 @ 2:10 p.m. vs. Sioux Falls Pheasants

Lord Rusty the Hilarious decrees the first Sunday in the month of June to be Medieval Night and invites all knights and princesses to his castle, U. S. Steel Yard, at the stroke of 2:10 for a truly thrilling night of sport and adventure. You will not need a king's ransom to attend this day's festivities as anyone wearing the armor of a knight of The Steel Yard (aluminum foil to the lay person) will enter the castle at a reduced fare.

Independence Day - Monday, July 4 @ 5:10 p.m. vs. Sioux Falls Pheasants

Come celebrate the birth of our nation with America's pastime, baseball at U. S. Steel Yard. A special 5:10 start time will ensure you'll still be attend your second favorite fireworks show later in the evening but stick around for a little bit after the ballgame as this night will feature an extra special edition of your favorite post-game fireworks, presented by First Midwest Bank and The Post-Tribune.

Heroes Night - Tuesday, July 5 @ 7:10 p.m. vs. Sioux Falls Pheasants

The RailCats honor the men and women who truly are heroes in our communities: fire fighters, police men and women and emergency medical technicians. The 'Cats are also hosting their first annual Local Heroes Contest. Nominate any member of your community with an inspirational story by sending an email to info@railcatsbaseball.com.

Heritage Night - Monday, July 11 @ 7:10 p.m. vs. Sioux City Explorers

Celebrate diversity with the RailCats on Heritage Night. Wear your colors with pride as the RailCats devote innings to the different traditions of the people of Northwest Indiana.

Rusty's Birthday - Tuesday, July 12 @ 7:10 p.m. vs. Sioux City Explorers

It's his party and he'll cry if he wants to! Rusty invites all his mascot friends to U. S. Steel Yard to celebrate his birthday with free cake giveaways and much more as Northwest Indiana's favorite cat gets a year older!

Harry Potter Night - Wednesday, July 13 @ 7:10 p.m. vs. Sioux City Explorers

The final chapter in the Harry Potter saga, Deathly Hallows Part II, hits theatres on July 15 and the RailCats welcome all wizards and muggles alike to Harry Potter Night at U. S. Steel Yard. The RailCats will conjure up their own version of Quidditch (if only we could actually fly on brooms) and whoever tracks down the Golden Snitch will instantly win something out of this world (let's hope the Explorers don't find it before a 'Cats fan). The RailCats staff will all be dressed in their favorite character and invite you to do the same as the best costume of the night (as judged by Rusty) takes home something extra special.
