Adirondack Phantoms News Release
PHILADELPHIA - In an effort to say "thanks" to their fans for 13 seasons of loyal support, Comcast-Spectacor and the Philadelphia Phantoms are now offering a $10 adult ticket for all remaining home games for the Phantoms final season at the Wachovia Spectrum, according to Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko.
The price change affects all tickets in the main seating areas of the Spectrum. It excludes suites, the Superbox and ice-row seating, which remain at their current prices.
"With this being the final season for the Phantoms in Philadelphia and the final season of the Spectrum, we really want to say 'thanks' to our fans with this very special offer," said Luukko. "The fans have been wonderful to our Phantoms and we want to celebrate their final season with as many fans as possible."
In addition to all adult tickets being $10, the team offers a $5 ticket for all children 14 years of age and under, courtesy of Babies 'R Us.
"The Phantoms have always been a terrific family value," added Luukko. "With very affordable prices, we hope to continue to attract families who are looking for an inexpensive night out."
The new pricing begins immediately with the first game tomorrow, January 23, when the Phantoms host the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 at the Spectrum. Tickets at both price points are available immediately at Phantomshockey.com, the Wachovia Complex box office or through ComcastTIX at 1-800-298-4200.
"We also wanted to make sure that we give the Spectrum a proper send-off," added Phantoms Vice President Michael Thornton in discussing the new $10 ticket. "There is so much excitement in the air about the final season of the Spectrum. This way everyone has an opportunity to help us celebrate the nearly 42 years of the Spectrum being 'America's Showplace.'"
Fans are encouraged to take advantage of this great value to experience all the Wachovia Spectrum has to offer as the Phantoms play the final season of hockey in the historic building. Those who grew up watching the Flyers, Sixers, various concerts, and other events in the Spectrum have a tremendous final opportunity to give their kids a similar experience over the rest of the season.
