DUBUQUE, Iowa - NHL Central Scouting released its Final Rankings for the upcoming 2013 NHL Entry Draft Wednesday and Youngtown Phantoms goaltender Sean Romeo is among 50 players with USHL ties included on the list.

Romeo, 18, ranks No. 24 among all draft-eligible North American goaltenders, and is one of just four from the USHL to make the list. Waterloo's Cal Petersen and Eamon McAdam, and Sioux Falls' Charlie Lindgren are the other USHL netminders included on the rankings.

"Obviously we're spoiled," head coach Anthony Noreen said. "We get to see Sean every day, but it's something I would say is very deserving based on the performance, based on the way he's progressed this year, and based on the results he's had in this league."

A native of Cary, N.C., Romeo went 31-20-0 during the regular season while posting a 2.75 goals against average and .910 save percentage. The 6-foot-1, 165-pound Maine recruit led all USHL goalies in games played (53) and minutes played (3032:57); ranked second in wins (31), shutouts (5) and saves (1398); and finished in the top-10 in goals against average and save percentage.

On top of the high marks in The League, Romeo also became the Phantoms' all-time shutouts leader, while setting single-season franchise records for wins, shutouts, goals against average and save percentage.

Additionally, Phantoms affiliate forward Kiefer Sherwood was included on Central Scouting's Final Rankings for North American skaters, coming in at No. 202. A native of New Albany, Ohio, Sherwood, 18, recorded two assists and 24 shots in nine games played with the Phantoms.

Youngstown's seventh-round pick (99th overall) in the 2012 USHL Entry Draft, Sherwood led the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets Under-18 team this season with 46 goals, 48 assists and 94 points in just 55 games.

The 2013 NHL Entry Draft is set take place on June 30 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. - home of the New Jersey Devils.
